Position Summary
The Product Manager’s responsibilities will encompass understanding the needs of various product lines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing the integration to enhance operational efficiency through web & mobile platforms and industry-leading virtual digital tools. This Product Manager must be able to own the platform-level components that all our products are built upon. Platform PMs are more internal, technical, and architecture driven.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for enhancing and maintaining our internal tools ecosystem.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise for all microservices-based products.
- Set prioritization of features by defining and ranking them using feasibility and viability metrics.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of 3rd party tools.
- Drive the user experience by analyzing end-user needs and expectations.
- Work closely with strategic partners, product and engineering teams, and other departments to execute the product direction.
- Capture suitable KPIs to measure user efficiency, operational expenses, and ROI.
- Be the point of contact for design decisions, prioritization, and release planning.
- Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Partner with vendors to explore growth potential and future opportunities.
- Conduct complex business and systems process analysis.
- Create necessary documentation to facilitate change and clarity for all stakeholders.
Deliverables:
- Product Ownership: Own features, capabilities, and user stories.
- UX Collaboration: Assist the Product UX Team in defining the UX required.
- Architecture Collaboration: Assist the Product Architecture Team in defining the data model.
- Engineering Collaboration: Assist the Product Engineering Team in sizing and building features.
- Documentation: Assist the Documentation team in reviewing client-facing product documentation.
- Marketing Collaboration: Assist the Product Marketing Team in defining the value proposition of features.
- Strategy Collaboration: Assist the Strategy Team in overseeing our product lifecycle & vision.
- Sales Support: Assist the Sales Team in building business cases and developing product demos.
- Operations Collaboration: Make recommendations for partners to expand and augment our portfolio.
- Success Team Support: Assist the Success Teams in managing client expectations and supporting POCs & pilot implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of product management experience from a software company.
- Product Manager Certification is preferred.
- Experience with microservice architectures and design patterns is required.
- Understanding of UX principles.
- Experience leading projects using modern communication protocols like Kafka, RESTful APIs, gRPC.
- Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exceptional communication skills and relationship-building qualities.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, and backlog management.
