Position Summary
Zyter|TruCare is seeking a technically strong and experienced Lead Performance Test Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and analysis of performance testing activities across our enterprise healthcare applications. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in performance testing tools, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will drive the development of performance test strategies, streamline processes, troubleshoot system bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights to improve system scalability, responsiveness, and reliability in both UI and API environments.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Test Strategy & Ownership
Own and lead performance testing activities for assigned projects, including strategy definition, test planning, execution, and results analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with application and infrastructure requirements.
Test Execution & Monitoring
Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, and BlazeMeter. Execute load, stress, soak, and endurance tests to evaluate system performance under varying conditions.
Performance Analysis & Troubleshooting
Use tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor, analyze, and report on application performance. Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and work with engineering teams to implement optimizations.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines with the DevOps team. Contribute to the setup and maintenance of automated performance test executions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Frameworks & Tools Evaluation
Evaluate and recommend performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies tailored to product and architectural needs, especially for microservices-based applications.
Workload Modeling & NFR Validation
Define realistic workload models based on analytics. Align performance testing with non-functional requirements (NFRs) and provide detailed estimation and coverage metrics.
Cross-Platform Testing
Support performance testing for WebSocket-based applications, including SMS, audio, video, and email services. Participate in UI and API automation testing when required.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate detailed performance reports and executive summaries, highlighting bottlenecks, key findings, and recommendations. Escalate risks and issues to stakeholders proactively.
Required Experience and Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing.
Proficiency in tools such as NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, and Splunk.
Experience with performance testing in cloud environments using open-source tools.
Strong knowledge of UI and API performance testing.
Experience in WebSocket performance testing (SMS, audio, video, email).
Expertise in application monitoring tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and Kubernetes-based deployments.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.).
Familiarity with DevOps tools and platforms such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and Rally.
Strong understanding of software and hardware performance optimization principles.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines involving performance testing integration.
Knowledge of SaaS application performance and scalability testing.
Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments and collaborative team structures.
Prior experience in healthcare domain is a plus.
